New Year's Eve is something of a mania these days with people going to any length to celebrate it with full fervour. It is like a frenzy catching folks all over the world, as they enter the New Year. It is celebrated like a festival with energetic souls cheering at full throttle through the mad crowds, singing songs of harmony, hand in hand while marking the beginning of a New Year with hopes in their eyes and passion in their voices.
Keeping in mind the zeal and fervour with which New Year's Eve is celebrated all over the world, Pakistan included, we at MAG decided to go with a photo shoot that emanates the bond of friendship. And hence we make a resolution at the beginning of this year that this very bond of friendship shall be strengthened and maintained forever!
Our latest photo shoot with Sana and Sara Sarfaraz, along with Feroze Khan depicts the happiness that friendship can deliver. And take our word for it, the chummy atmosphere that is evident in this shoot was as true and natural as can be!
To make the matters more real, we asked these cheery souls, the following questions to which they replied in a very friendly conversation. Excerpts:
1. What is your New Year's resolution?
Sana: With the increase in inflation rate and population there are so many people out there who do not get enough food to survive Keeping this in mind, I wish to work more towards humanity and I constantly strive to become a better person every year, giving up bad habits and taking up good ones.
Feroze: I will count down to midnight with my close friends in an intimate gathering – cheering at a prime spot to watch the fireworks light up the Karachi sky line.
Sara: As it is the beginning of a New Year I would work even harder towards my goals and focus more on my life. I'll try to sleep less, exercise more, eat healthy and be a better human being.
2. How did you celebrate the New Year?
Sana: I generally celebrate the beginning of a New Year by praying and thanking Allah for everything he's blessed me with.
Feroz: I could think of no better way to welcome 2014 than the presence of my friends who are like my family, and with of course my family. Their blessings at the start of each year has made it successively better and more adventurous than the one before.
Sara: Well, I spent New Year with my family and loved ones.
3. What is your idea of celebrating New Year? With friends or family members?
Sana: One should see their achievements and goals every year and evaluate their performances. I don't believe in drinking and dancing on New Year parties.

Feroze: Winter is here with a bang and what a better way to celebrate the end of the year and beginning of the much awaited season than embellishing yourself with a leather jacket, a white T, and a muffler to accessorise. Just keep it simple.
Sara: Anything that makes a person look good and of course it should be comfortable too.

6. How do you define friendship?
Sana: Friendship should be very pure. I don’t like people who want to be my friends only to take advantage from me one day. I respect all my old friends because they have been with me through everythick and thin and their behaviour has never changed towards me whether it is my good or bad times.
Feroze: Friendship is knowing and accepting someone with their defects rather than merits. I agree with Colton Lee when he posits that true friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it is lost.
Sara: Friendship for me is trust and understanding.
Sana: Friendship should be very pure. I don’t like people who want to be my friends only to take advantage from me one day. I respect all my old friends because they have been with me through everythick and thin and their behaviour has never changed towards me whether it is my good or bad times.

Sana: Now that my sister has started working it’s just amazing to have her around during work. However, Marvi Sarfaraz is a very good friend and a colleague. I feel immense pleasure working with her.
Feroze: My best friend in the industry… well this question could definitely get me into trouble (laughs). First of all my own sister (Humaima Mallick) has played a great role in my life as a motivator. I do not have many friends because the way life is these days you hardly get time to socialise. But if I talk about people who are like my mentors and friends at the same time, they are Fahad Hussain and Akif Ilyas. They have motivated me and have always been there to support me!
Sara: I make friends easily so most of the people I've worked with are my friends but when it comes to my best friend that's none other than Sana Sarfaraz. She's not only my sister but my best friend too.

Feroze Khan
I started off working as a VJ and then later started doing commercials and telefilms. I got an opportunity to get signed up with a music channel which still is one of the achievements of my life since it was for a big music channel. After all the other work I've done in the industry, acting was one thing I wanted to do, so I'm doing a drama serial these days with a skilled young director, Furkan Khan. It will go on air in the
first quarter of 2014. I hope I get a good response from the market and my viewers.

In my leisure time I like surfing the internet, interacting with my family and friends,watching TV and listening to music and I love pets!
